Midnight Mama
Most women, and especially mothers, find they have little time during the day to actually process the amount of decisions they had to make, and weigh their potential impact. If you are like me, midnight seems to be an appropriate time to lay awake and begin the process of analyzing how ONE of the decisions you made today will ultimately derail your entire life, or, someone you are responsible for...If this is you, then meet me at midnight might be the place for you to find some sisterhood, validation, and a whole lot of humor.

One could assume with the onset of motherhood you would sacrifice some level of privacy. However, getting that privacy back will take far more work than you may have anticipated, or are prepared to do. How are other mothers having this conversation? Are you having it, do you even care anymore, or are you fighting the good fight? I am on the struggle bus currently and looking for some feedback.

After becoming a mother I lost a lot of control over things in my life and was ready for some of them, but not all. The hardest thing for me to come to terms with was the loss of my personal space, and my body belongs to me. From breastfeeding to sex, to kids touching all over me, I feel as though nothing belongs to me. Join me as I share my experience and normalize this for so many others.

We recognize that moms appear to be tired each day regardless of how much rest they get, or how much of their load someone could decrease. I spend time in this episode talking about the power moms possess in their homes and the lives of all of those around them, and how being tasked with providing power to others can significantly impact our mental and emotional well-being.

This episode was heavy on my heart and could be triggering for some individuals. Talk about suicide and homicide relative to the postpartum period for moms in response to the woman in Boston who allegedly strangled her children. The podcast focuses on enhanced services, an angry mother, and our failure to protect one another.

I cannot tell you how many times I have felt this way, or worked with individuals who felt like this. We often look at the breaking as something bad or limiting. I challenge you to shift that train of thought using positive language to shape the way you look at these events. The breaks HAVE to happen, and when they do, you can put yourself back together however you want.

We are all guilty of seeking advice and direction from the wrong people at some point in life. In motherhood, we always want to hear about a mom's experience before we embark on the journey, but we are selective in who we seek it from. In this episode I talk to you about getting the right directions from the right people, and why that matters more than where you are headed.

We understand that becoming a mother requires a lot of work. It is going to physically exhaust us several times on our journey. However, a little preparation for the mental load would have been much appreciated. The unseen challenges and weight that we carry mentally, each day requires their own level of strength. I will no longer justify WHY I am so tired at the end of each day and encourage you to follow suit.

As women, it seems we are always on the go. Whether we are career-driven, family-focused, or something else, we rarely stop to rest, reflect, and recalibrate when needed. In this episode I talk about possessing self-awareness and the ability to recognize where I am, both physically and mentally, to ensure I am getting the most out of myself.

Midnight Mama
While Mama is in the title, I am speaking to all women who recap their day and ruminate over the decisions they've made, typically around midnight. This podcast has something for everyone and is designed with light humor and tough love in mind. If you are looking for a nudge in the right direction, or a good laugh, this is where you should be
